Maxi Love

I feel like this summer's trend is all about maxi dresses. To be honest, I couldn't be happier about it. They are so comfy, lightweight, and perfect for that hot/humid weather. I thought it would be a good idea to wear it to a BBQ. Living on the east coast mean's humidity and let me tell you this day was hot as heck!

Honestly, I was so comfortable the whole day. The best part about maxi dresses is that they are inexpensive and practically sold in every store. I purchased mine from Marshals, but I saw some super cute ones at Target.

Even though I am wearing no shoes in these photos, I did have a pair of American Eagle brown flip flops to pair it with. As for my jewelry, I thought these simple chokers would be cute since my dress is off the shoulders. (btw "off the shoulders" tops and dress are another hot trend right now!) Can you say WINNING!

I always do a simple light make-up look over the summer. If you guys would be interested in my routine just comment below! Thanks for stopping by!

Chinese Lantern Festival

Every Sunday Andy and I always go on a little adventure. This day, Andy really wanted to try Ramen so we went to China town in Philadephia and stumbled across the Chinese Lantern Festival. Obviously, we needed to stop and check it out. I am so glad we did! Everything was so beautiful and interesting! I heard at night it is even better!

What is funny about the blouse I am wearing, is that everyone who saw it thought it was ugly and looked like a pajama shirt, (which it kinda does) but that's the look right now!  It's actually a set from Forever 21 (surprise, surprise) the bottoms were these cute shorts. Sadly, together I was not feeling it.  As soon as everyone saw how I paired the shirt, they ended up liking it. My jean's are from H&M and my shoes are from a boutique in Yuma, Arizona.

If you have the opportunity to visit the Chinese Lantern Festival, go check it out! It ends June 18th. At night there is a small fee, but it's completely worth it.

Thanks for stopping bye!

Hey guys,

I am super excited to start this new segment on The Wave. For those who have Instagram or Twitter might be aware of #WCW or in other words hashtag women crush Wednesday. It's this popular tag that highlights beautiful women. Well,  The Wave doesn't just care about a women's beauty, but what women bring to the table.  I am proud to see women coming together and support one another! I thought it would be a great idea to interview ladies who are inspiring and amazing and show what they can do!

I am pleased to have started our first Women Krush (with a K!) Wednesday with a long time friend and future sister in law... Amanda Belle. That's what she goes by on her youtube channel. For those who haven't had the opportunity to check out an Amanda Belle video, you are missing out. Her beauty channel highlights beauty hacks, hair tutorials, and occasionally vlog's (video documentaries). She officially started a couple of months ago, I think it is amazing how much her channel has grown. She is a 19-year-old, full-time college student with a love for makeup had the courage to start her channel regardless of others opinions.

That is what is so great about Amanda because when asked "what drove you to create a youtube channel?" her response was  "well because many people would ask me to do their makeup so I thought this could be a great way for me to show people what I can do as well as help people learn and try different looks and techniques themselves at their own pace."

Beauty Tip:
Q: What's one makeup product you can't live without?
A: "I guess my Marco Budescu facial spray. It fits all skin types, refreshes the face,  and sets makeup. I would wear it when i am not wearing makeup and need to bring my face back to life."

Amanda says the motivation for her video's comes from a feeling of accomplishment, that cool feeling of "I made that" and also showing her knowledge of makeup.

I asked Amanda who inspires her and she said "Vanessa Hudgens for her "very cute, hippie, go with the flow way of being"."

For those who are interestend in making a youtube channel here's a little advise from Amanda Belle:
"Don't be afraid of not receiving many views or putting yourself out there. Patience is key! Do it for yourself, not for a name, it has to be  authentic!"

I feel like Amanda is off to a great start with her channel and I can see her youtube channel continuing to grow. I hope this inspires anyone who is considering creating their own channel. My advice is to stop thinking about it and simply execute because, although this may seem cliche, you truly only regret the chances you didn't take. Don't be the guy/girl 5 years down the road saying "imagine if I would have started then". Take Shia Lebouf's advice... DO IT!... JUST DO IT!

Also, I hope you enjoyed this first Women Krush Wendesday.  :)

Check out Amanda Belle on youtube !!!!! You won't regret it!

BeautyCon NYC

Hi guys,

Last weekend was so much fun. I attended BeautyCon in New York City. This was my second time going to Beauty Con. Let me tell you something this year was better than 2014 when I first attended. I really enjoyed how big the location was and how we were in Brooklyn. I've never been to Brooklyn before, but I'm truly glad it was there. This time was better because Andy's sister Amanda came along with us. Which made this experience spectacular because Amanda loves watching youtube video's as much as I do and she appreciates the beauty community like me.

Recognize these Youtubers???

If you're wondering where my outfit is from... it is kind of a funny story...

So I ordered a really cute outfit set online from Beginning Boutique. For those who don't know, it is a clothing company in Australia that sells a lot of CUTE clothes. I thought I would have my outfit in time for BeautyCon, but Thursday morning they texted me saying my order will be arriving on Monday.... BEAUTYCON IS SATURDAY! lol So I went to my local mall found this dress at Marshals and had bought this coat from Forever 21 a couple of months ago. My shoes are from Payless. I'm actually happy with how my outfit came out. On Monday I finally got my package and the outfit and shoes are so to die expect an outfit post on it in the future!

In all, it was a great time! I think next year we will definitely go again.
Thank you for reading! :)

Garden Adventures

Hello Everyone,
So I recently celebrated my birthday and all I wanted to do was surround myself with beautiful flowers. My boyfriend, Andy decided to take me to Long Wood Gardens in Pennsylvania. If you live near the upper east coast area and love nature as much as I do, then you need to see this beautiful place. Even the story behind this spectacular place is pretty interesting.

I really wanted to wear a simple spring dress.
Fun fact: It was freezing and raining while I got these pictures taken.
Luckly, I had a change of clothes with me and the weather became nicer.

My dress is from Forever 21 along with my heels. My purse is Marc Jacobs and I purchased it at Nordstrom rack for a great deal!

Thanks for reading. Have a great day♡
